Ayat ul kursi(Urdu ,English and Arabic Translation and tafseer)

My dear brothers and sisters in Islam, today I want to talk to you about the greatness of Ayatul Kursi, which is the 255th verse of Surah al-Baqarah, the longest surah of the Quran. This verse is highly revered by Muslims all over the world, and many consider it to be the best verse in the Quran. And indeed, there is a Hadith that confirms this.

The Prophet (PBUH) once asked a companion, Abu Mundhir, about which verse is the greatest in the Quran. And what was the response of Abu Mundhir? He started reciting Ayat al-Kursi. And what was the response of the Prophet (PBUH)? He replied in the affirmative, indicating that Abu Mundhir was correct. This authentic Hadith can be found in Imam Muslim’s Sahih Muslim.

So what is it that makes Ayatul Kursi so special? Well, let us take a closer look at the verse itself. Ayatul Kursi is a beautiful and powerful verse that speaks of the greatness of Allah (SWT) and His attributes. It says:

“Allah – there is no deity except Him, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of [all] existence. Neither drowsiness overtakes Him nor sleep. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Who is it that can intercede with Him except by His permission? He knows what is [presently] before them and what will be after them, and they encompass not a thing of His knowledge except for what He wills. His Kursi extends over the heavens and the earth, and their preservation tires Him not. And He is the Most High, the Most Great.” [Quran 2:255]

SubhanAllah! What a beautiful and profound verse this is. It speaks of the oneness of Allah (SWT), His eternal nature, His sovereignty over all things, His knowledge, His power, and His greatness. It is no wonder that this verse is so highly regarded by Muslims.

But it is not just the words of the verse that make it so special. It is also the power of reciting it. The Prophet (PBUH) said that whoever recites Ayatul Kursi after every obligatory prayer, nothing will prevent them from entering Paradise except death. SubhanAllah! What a tremendous blessing this is.

So my dear brothers and sisters, let us make it a habit to recite Ayatul Kursi after every obligatory prayer, and at other times as well. Let us reflect on its meaning and ponder over the greatness of Allah (SWT). May Allah (SWT) bless us all with a deep understanding of His words and the ability to act upon them. Ameen.
